Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is considering a move for Manchester City striker John Guidetti as he looks to rebuild his squad.
Guidetti joined the Citizens in 2008 from Swedish outfit Bromma after his talent was spotted by former boss Sven-Goran Eriksson.
However, the 22-year-old is yet to make a Premier League appearance for the champions and has spent spells out on loan with Bromma, Burnley, Feyenoord and Stoke last term.
The Sweden international netted an impressive 20 goals in 23 games while on loan at Feyenoord, working under Koeman.
Koeman has been tasked with the job of rebuilding at St Mary's this summer following the departures of Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Luke Shaw.
The Dutchman has already drafted in winger Dusan Tadic and striker Graziano Pelle but, with more departures expected, he is looking to continue his business in the market.
