Vincent Kompany is backing Manchester City team-mates Joe Hart and Joleon Lescott to impress for England at Euro 2012.
The influential Belgium international defender missed out on facing the duo on Saturday after suffering a recurrence of an injury problem during the warm-up ahead of England's 1-0 friendly win at Wembley.
However, as Kompany has the summer to get back to full fitness due to his country's failure to reach the European Championships in Poland and Ukraine, he is in no doubt that goalkeeper, Hart, and fellow defender, Lescott, can help inspire Roy Hodgson's Three Lions to a good run in the tournament.
"For me, Joe Hart is comfortably the best goalkeeper in the Premier League," said Kompany. "Now I want him to show with England he can be the greatest in the world.
"Joleon is one of the most solid and consistent defenders around. He is someone I rate very highly.
"I want him to get the same recognition at England level as club level."
