Vincent Kompany is likely to again feature for Manchester City at Wigan but Gael Clichy and Jack Rodwell are still out.

The City skipper looks set to play his second match in four days after returning from a knee injury to face Chelsea last Sunday.

"He got through the game and got through it very well," the City first-team coach, David Platt, said. "There were no after effects, he iced it afterwards as a precaution."

Aleksandar Kolorov looks set to keep his place for the first time since September while Clichy nurses an ankle knock while Rodwell (hamstring) is not expected back before the weekend.

Carlos Tevez is tipped to start up front after missing out at the weekend as Samir Nasri and Javi Garcia could also return if Roberto Mancini shuffles his pack with the weekend clash against Everton in mind.

Wigan give tests to Shaun Maloney and Gary Caldwell and captain Ivan Ramis (hamstring) is a doubt, while James McArthur and Franco Di Santo may earn recalls.
