Manuel Pellegrini has indicated he will try to sign Isco from Malaga when he joins Manchester City.
Pellegrini's move from Malaga to Manchester has all but been confirmed following the manager's admission on Wednesday that he had agreed a deal to take charge of the Premier League side, having rejected the advances of French outfit Paris Saint-Germain.
"PSG is a very important institution - one of the most important in Europe - and they put themselves in contact [with me] but the priority was to work with [Manchester City]," he said on Canal Sur.
Pellegrini has been tipped to make a move for 20-year-old Isco, who has already admitted he would welcome the chance to move to England, when he joins City.
The Chilean coach has now indicated he is planning to try and sign Isco when he officially joins Manchester City.
On the attacking midfielder, he added: "Wherever he [Isco] goes he will be a success.
"He has tremendous potential and I am happy that I was able to give him his chance in the first division. He will go as far in football as he wants to go."
