Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini feels his side are at a disadvantage having to play two games in three days over Christmas.
City host Liverpool in the late kick off on Boxing Day before hosting Crystal Palace on Saturday.
Title rivals Liverpool and Chelsea face each other on Sunday, while Arsenal and Spurs and are also in action on Sunday against Newcastle and Stoke respectively.
Pellegrini believes his side should have been granted an extra day off as well and feels City have a tougher festive schedule as a result of the quick turnaround.
"It's not fair, it should be the same for all teams," Pellegrini said.
"I don't know if the word is ridiculous but playing 46 hours from one game to another is not the best thing for the players - they cannot recover in 46 hours.
"All the teams must have the same rest. Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool all of them play after (December) 26 and 29. And we play 26 and 28."
