Samba duo delight Hughes

Man CityMan City boss Mark Hughes is delighted with the developing partnership between Brazil stars Robinho and Elano.

Robinho arrived at Eastlands 12 months after Elano moved to the Blues from Shaktar Donetsk and Hughes feels the pair are starting to gel on the pitch.

Elano was on target in the Uefa Cup win over AC Omonia on Thursday night which sees City through to the group stage after originally only qualifying via the Fair Play league.

"Elano is coming into a bit of form," said Hughes. "He is playing on the left alongside Robinho, and they are working well together.

"They already have a good understanding of each other, and that can only benefit us in the games to come."
