Manchester City are set to be boosted by the return to action of Nedum Onuoha on the club's trip to Abu Dhabi this week.
The 22-year-old former England Under-21 captain has not featured for City since the 4-2 win against Arsenal at Eastlands in September due to a thigh injury he picked up in the reserves. However, after a run out for the reserves over the weekend, Onuoha will travel with the rest of the squad not involved in internationals to face the United Arab Emirates national side.
Onuoha finished last season in great form and will be hoping to get back to full fitness and be handed the chance to bolster a defence that has kept just one clean sheet in its last ten games.
"Nedum has been going about his rehabilitation in the same professional manner in which he does everything," boss Mark Hughes told the club's website.
