Yaya Toure has reportedly rejected the chance to move across Manchester to Old Trafford as he targets a switch to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Ivory Coast international is believed to be looking to leave the Etihad Stadium having fallen out with the club and City are making plans should he decide to go as they eye Paul Pogba and Ross Barkley as replacements.
City are hoping to hold talks with the 31-year-old once he returns for pre-season but are ready to cash in should Toure make it clear he wants to go and they receive an acceptable offer.
Reports on Friday claim local rivals United sounded out Toure about a sensational switch to the Theatre of Dreams and are said to have been confident of pulling off a £40million swoop.
However, Toure is alleged to have told United that he is not interested in joining them and has his heart set on a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The French champions have yet to reveal whether they are even interested in the former Barcelona midfielder but Toure is hoping they make a move for him as he looks to quit the Premier League.
