Valencia ready to make Dzeko offer

Spanish side Valencia have reportedly made Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko their top January transfer target.

The Bosnia international has struggled for regular starts in the Premier League with Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo usually deployed by boss Manuel Pellegrini ahead of him up front.

As a result, former Wolfsburg man Dzeko has been linked with a move away and Valencia are very keen to land him, amid suggestions a £15m bid will be made next month if the proposed takeover by Singapore tycoon Peter Lim goes through.

Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested as they search for a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is set to join Bayern Munich in the summer.

City may well decide to resist all offers, however, as Stevan Jovetic is still not fully fit and Pellegrini made it clear when he arrived in the summer that Dzeko was firmly in his plans at the Etihad Stadium.
