Sergio Aguero says he is more interested in helping Manchester City pick up points as opposed to winning the plaudits for his goals.
The Argentina international has started the campaign in excellent form with eight Premier League goals to sit at the top of the scoring charts alongside Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge, while he has scored five goals in four Champions League outings so far.
And, as Aguero looks to add more to his tally in Sunday's trip to Sunderland, who have already conceded 22 goals in 10 Premier League games, he claims that picking up three points is what is top of his priority list.
He told City TV: "Yes I am very happy (with my tally) not only for the goals, but for the victories.
"I think most of my goals have helped to win the three points and that's the most important thing for me."
Aguero is also delighted with his blossoming partnership with summer signing Alvaro Negredo, who has scored nine goals for City in all competitions including five in the last three games thanks to his Champions League hat-trick against CSKA Moscow on Tuesday.
"It's really good, yes," he added.
"Alvaro has arrived this year and played really well and so has the partnership between us. We have to continue on because it is an important part to help the club forward."
