Vincent Kompany and Micah Richards are both major doubts but Wayne Bridge and Patrick Vieira are set to play for City against Hull.

Bridge is set to make his return from a knee injury and play for the first time since the allegations emerged over his and former Chelsea team-mate John Terry's private life.

Vieira, meanwhile, is now fit and in line for his City debut following his transfer window move from Inter but Richards (calf) and Kompany (groin) are unlikely to be involved at the KC Stadium.

New arrival Adam Johnson should also feature although he is likely to have to settle for a place on the bench while Joleon Lescott, who has recovered from a knee problem, is also set to be a substitute against the Tigers.
