Manchester City's hopes of signing Fiorentina striker Stevan Jovetic have been boosted by his admission that wants to play in England.
The 23-year-old Montenegro international, who is currently preparing for his country's massive World Cup qualifier against England at the Podgorica Stadium on Tuesday, has enjoyed a fairly successful season by scoring 12 goals in 24 Serie A outings.
And Jovetic's performances have alerted the likes of City boss Roberto Mancini and Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger, who are both looking to bolster their clubs' respective forward lines when the summer transfer window opens for business.
Fiorentina will be keen to keep such a key player but Jovetic has admitted that he would relish the opportunity to play in the Premier League.
He was quoted in the Daily Star as saying: "It sure is nice when you are interesting big clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City. It feels good because the English game currently has probably the strongest league in the world.
"I'm very comfortable in Italy but the Premier League is at the top of the football world - and perhaps the best. We will see what happens in the future."
