Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has admitted he would consider a move to Serie A, with Fiorentina his preferred destination.
The Argentina international joined City from Spanish side Espanyol in 2008 and has since established himself as one of the Premier League's top full-backs.
Zabaleta was a virtual ever-present for City last season, making 43 appearances, and is considered to be a part of new boss Manuel Pellegrini's plans for the coming campaign.
The 28-year-old has now revealed he would welcome the chance to play in Serie A at some stage in his career and indicated Fiorentina would be his top choice, where Argentine star Gabriel Batistuta spent nine years of his career between 1991 and 2000.
"Serie A is a major championship," he told Sportitalia. "It's certainly a League I'd like to play in.
"A team? I consider Fiorentina to be an interesting team. I have always liked them since the days of Batistuta.
"Juventus, Milan and Inter are big clubs though."
