Kevin Strootman's agent has insisted the Roma star will not be joining Manchester United in the January transfer window.
United were linked with the 23-year-old in the summer when he was at PSV Eindhoven and there were reports a deal had been agreed to take the Dutchman to Old Trafford for around £15million.
However, the switch never materialised as United missed out on another midfield target and he ended up moving to the Italian capital instead.
Fresh speculation has linked David Moyes with a raid for Strootman in the new year but his agent, Chiel Dekker, says he will not be leaving Roma barely six months after joining.
"Kevin is very happy in Rome and his intention is to stay here for a long time," Dekker said. "They have started a project and a new team and he has adapted well to his new club."
Strootman has impressed in Serie A as he has helped Roma to a fine start to the season, scoring three goals in 14 matches so far.
