Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed with Fifa president Sepp Blatter that he is being treated like a slave by Manchester United.

Blatter caused much debate yesterday when he likened the transfer saga involving the Portugal international, United and suitors Real Madrid to "modern slavery".

The Spanish champions have confirmed they will not lodge an official offer for the 23-year-old until he confirms to Old Trafford officials, who have insisted he is not for sale at any price, that he wants to leave.

Now, Ronaldo, who has given mixed messages about his future, has fanned the flames by showing support for Blatter's remark.

"I agree with the comments of the president of Fifa. What he said is right," he told Portuguese channel TVI.

"At the moment there is no agreement with Real Madrid. We have to wait for the next few days to see, but I do not know where I will begin next season.

"This is all I have to say at the moment."
