Brown waiting on Fergie verdict

Man UtdHull boss Phil Brown is not hopeful of re-signing Man Utd striker Fraizer Campbell after failing to hear back from the Red Devils.

Brown has asked Old Trafford counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson if he can take the exciting youngster again but the silence has been deafening so far this summer.

The Tigers chief has not given up hope completely and admits it will depend on whether or not United manage to bolster their forward line, with Louis Saha tipped to move on and Spurs ace Dimitar Berbatov the top target.

Brown told the Daily Express: "Sir Alex has his business to do and until he conducts that I'm presuming Fraizer will be a United player this season. We'll have to wait and see."

Campbell scored 15 goals last season as Hull won promotion to the Premier League for the first time.
