Dortmund open to United swap deal

Borussia Dortmund have suggested they would be open to a swap deal with Man Utd involving Shinji Kagawa and Ilkay Gundogan.

United boss David Moyes looks set to do much of his summer transfer business in Germany having been there on several scouting missions this season.

His extensive list of targets is believed to include Dortmund duo Gundogan and Marco Reus, as well as Bayern Munich's contract rebel Toni Kroos.

While deals for Germany international pair Kroos and Reus might prove tricky, United stand a better chance of signing Gundogan, who is expected to leave Dortmund at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old has just over a year left on his current deal with BVB and his father has revealed he is open to all offers.

Dortmund are keen to hang on to the defensive midfielder but have reportedly indicated they would be willing to let him go to United if Kagawa was part of the deal.

The Japan international has struggled to settle at Old Trafford since his move from the Westfalenstadion in 2012 and Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has made no secret of his desire to bring him back to the club.

The 24-year-old is keen to return to Germany and a swap deal involving Gundogan could suit all parties.
