Eagles had to fly nest

Man UtdBurnley new boy Chris Eagles insists he has made the right choice for his career after deciding to leave Manchester United.

The 22-year-old midfielder has signed for the Clarets on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee and has admitted the time was right for a change.

Eagles told the BBC: "It's been hard because I've been there [at United] so long, to get it finally signed is good and I just want to start training now."

Eagles scored two goals on United's pre-season jaunt to Africa but claims he simply had to step out of his "comfort zone" in search of first-team football.

He added: "It was hard moving away as I knew everyone from the cleaner to the manager, but I believe it's a big step and a step in the right direction."
