Wayne Rooney and Jonny Evans are struggling to be fit for Manchester United's trip to Norwich on Saturday but Robin van Persie is fit.
Rooney sustained an ankle injury during last week's 3-2 win at Aston Villa, when Evans missed out completely with a groin problem which also forced him to sit out Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan this week.
And while Sir Alex Ferguson does not expect either player to be fit for the evening kick-off at Carrow Road, he feels van Persie will be able to start in attack alongside Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez, despite him missing the Netherlands' friendly against Germany in Amsterdam on Wednesday.
Phil Jones is set to be kept under wraps for Champions League duty next week following his return from a long-term injury lay-off.
"We've still got some doubts about Wayne and Jonny Evans," said Ferguson told his press conference. "I think Robin should be fit. We'll see what they are like today but there is a doubt.
"Phil Jones has been training all week. We will take him to Turkey [to play Galatasaray in the Champions League] with us. He'll get part of it there, which is a good start for him."
"Bringing on Chicharito [at Villa] was good for us and he should start tomorrow."
