Anderson and Michael Carrick are set to replace suspended Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher in United's midfield against West Ham.

Sir Alex Ferguson said Anderson "picks himself" after his stunning contribution as a second half substitute against QPR on Saturday while Carrick looks set to be recalled to face his former club.

Ferguson is unlikely to tinker with the back four or keeper against the Hammers, who can boast the aerial threat of Andy Carroll, so Anders Lindegaard could continue instead of David de Gea.

Tom Cleverley and Javier Hernandez will be hoping to make the starting lineup while Antonio Valencia has been given a slight chance of recovering from a hip injury.

Shinji Kagawa, Nani and Nemanja Vidic are still out while Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are pushing for a start, but likely to remain on the bench.
