Juventus are ready to sign Paulinho from Tottenham for £20million which will clear the way for Manchester United to sign Arturo Vidal.

Paulinho has insisted he is happy at White Hart Lane and is hoping for a fresh start under the leadership of new boss Mauricio Pochettino, but a move to Juve could still appeal.

The Italian champions will only sell Vidal to United once they have found a replacement and Brazilian star Paulinho is the man they want to get on board.

However they may have to pay more than £20million to land their man as reports claim that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will want closer to £25million before he considers letting him move on.

The money received would also bolster Pochettino's transfer coffers further as he looks to bring in his own targets before the big kick-off on August 16.
