Latics set to clinch United loan

Wigan Athletic look set to clinch a loan deal for Manchester United and England Under-21 striker Will Keane next week.

Reports from Wigan claim the Latics have an agreement in place with United to loan the forward, who only resumed his career after over a year out with a knee injury a couple of months ago.

Keane will therefore link up with fellow United loanee Nick Powell ahead of the Championship club's clash with Brighton a week on Saturday.

The 20-year-old striker is currently training with Gareth Southgate's Under-21s, although he won't be considered for selection for their European Championship qualifiers this month.

He is one of five United players training with England, alongside brother Michael Keane, Jesse Lingard, Wilfried Zaha and Nick Powell, leaving United's Carrington training ground to feel like a ghost town this week.
