Lille's teenage left-back Lucas Digne is ignoring rumours in France that he is wanted by both Manchester United and City.

The 19-year-old Frenchman was watched by scouts from United, City, Liverpool, Ajax, Udinese and Tottenham on Tuesday night when he scored in France Under-20s 2-0 win over Portugal in Creteil.

Patrick Vieira was there to spy for Roberto Mancini while United's French scout David Friio was also on hand as he builds up a dossier on potential future targets.

Digne has been on the radar at Old Trafford since he broke into the Lille side at the start of 2012 and he was the youngest left-back to start all six Champions League group games this season.

United are still thought to be on the lookout for a long-term replacement for Patrice Evra, 31, despite having Alexander Buttner, 23, and Fabio, 22, on their books.

Digne, speaking after the game this week, said: "It is flattering but these are just rumours. I am in Lille, I have a contract, I'm very happy here. I do not spend time thinking about it."
