Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic has emerged as a top target for Italian giants AC Milan.
Vidic has endured a torrid two years plagued with injuries which have restricted his playing time for the Red Devils and it is reported that David Moyes may look to draft in a more reliable defender.
Benfica centre-half Ezequiel Garay has been touted as a prime target but a move cannot be made until the funds are released by a player on the way out.
Milan are understood to be keeping a close eye on the situation as they continue to try and build a squad that can challenge on both the domestic and European stage.
The 31-year-old has spent seven seasons at Old Trafford, making 264 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions.
