Moyes may move Smalling

Last Updated: Fri, 27 Dec 2013 10:39

Chris Smalling could switch to right-back for Manchester United's trip to Norwich because Rafael and Antonio Valencia are both out.

United boss David Moyes will be forced to make at least two changes from the 3-2 win over Hull City after Rafael suffered a first-half groin injury and his replacement at right-back, Valencia, picked up a late red card.

Phil Jones is out for a fortnight with a knee problem but Nemanja Vidic could come in to central defence and there will be late tests on Michael Carrick (Achilles) and Robin van Persie (thigh).

Ryan Giggs and Shinji Kagawa could also feature if Moyes decides to freshen up his line-up at Carrow Road.
