New Saints ace in Moyes' sights

David Moyes is reportedly now lining up a huge double swoop on Southampton to take Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana to Manchester United.

The United chief has already been heavily linked with a swoop for highly-rated teenage left-back Shaw, who has impressed since breaking into the Saints' side at the start of last season and was handed his first senior cap for England in Wednesday's 1-0 friendly win against Denmark.

However, reports are now claiming that Moyes is ready to test the water with a bid in the region of £30million to take Shaw's midfield team-mate Lallana, who has also forced his way into Roy Hodgson's Three Lions' squad following an impressive season at St Mary's.

Shaw would come in as a long-term replacement for veteran French full-back Patrice Evra and 25-year-old Lallana could be the key to adding some more creativity into the midfield engine room at Old Trafford.

However with Saints' boss Mauricio Pochettino recently insisting that Shaw is not for sale despite transfer fees in the region of £25million being reported, it is highly unlikely that the south coast outfit would agree to offload him and Lallana for £30million.
