Injury-prone Owen Hargreaves' future at Man United has taken another hit after he was removed from the club's Champions League squad.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was hopeful the England midfielder would be available for selection in the forthcoming European showdown with AC Milan and said earlier this week that the former Bayern Munich ace was finally making good progress from his serious knee injuries.
Hargreaves has not played for the champions for over a year now but was thought to be in line to make a long-awaited comeback before the end of the season.
However, he has now been struck off United's squad for the rest of the Champions League campaign and fresh question marks have risen over his future at Old Trafford.
