David De Gea has ruled out a move to Real Madrid and says he is happy to continue his career with Manchester United.
Reports claim that Real have identified De Gea as the perfect successor to Iker Casillas but the 21-year-old says he has no thoughts of returning to Spain.
De Gea is finally settling into the Premier League following his arrival from Atletico Madrid and with plenty of time still on his side he believes Old Trafford is the place to continue his education.
A return to his homeland in the future is likely to happen but for now he is going nowhere.
"I am happy at United and not thinking about a return to Spain," De Gea revealed when quizzed about the rumours. "I've accepted the challenge to learn and improve as a professional.
"And fighting for my place gives me a bigger incentive to play well."
