Roma have joined Juventus, Napoli and Monaco in the race to sign Nani, with director Walter Sabatini coming to England to open talks.
Sabatini is due to fly in for negotiations with three separate Premier League clubs over a series of players requested by new Roma coach Rudy Garcia.
He will speak to United over their want-away winger Nani, while also attending meetings at Chelsea over a potential deal for Daniele De Rossi and a loan deal for Blues defender Wallace.
His other stop will be at Manchester City to discuss the chance of a permanent transfer back to Serie A for their Brazilian defender Maicon.
Nani will be top of the Roman club's agenda, however, particularly as Garcia is understood to have made a special request that Sabatini signs the winger.
The 26-year-old ex-Sporting player has just entered the final year of his Old Trafford contract and could be available for as little as £8million.
