Manchester United have confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Real Madrid, who will make a single payment of £80million.
The 24-year-old Ballon d'Or winner agreed the deal with the Spanish giants some time ago but the deal could only go through when the transfer window opened on July 1.
Manchester United have now confirmed the Portuguese international has joined Real in an £80million deal, which United will receive in a single payment.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson will now focus his attentions on bringing in some world-class talent to replace the departed ace, with Bayern Munich's Franck Ribery and Lyon ace Karim Benzema both linked with a switch to Old Trafford.
