Wayne Rooney sees no reason why Manchester United cannot beat Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium at the end of April.
The Red Devils are set to face their city rivals at Eastlands on April 30 in a match that could determine the destination of the Premier League title.
United are currently five points clear of City at the top of the table and it remains to be seen what the gap will be, if anything, when the two sides meet for the final time this term.
The season score line stands at 1-1 with City inflicting a humiliating 6-1 defeat on Sir Alex Ferguson's men at Old Trafford last year while the red half of the city were cheering after they beat Roberto Mancini's men 3-2 in the FA Cup back in January.
Both clubs will have two more games to play after the Monday night meeting at the end of the month and, if things go well for United, they could possibly clinch the title at the home of their fierce rivals.
And Rooney is hoping that his team-mates can use the experience of their cup success to drive them on to another away victory at the Etihad.
"We're certainly good enough to beat them there," he said. "We showed that when we beat them 3-2 in the FA Cup in January.
"They have a great home record in the league but we managed to get the result there in the Cup. That shows we can go there and win. We just have to be ourselves and play our normal football."
Punters looking to use a free bet might fancy United to win the match and claim the Premier League title and they are next in action against Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.
