Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder said 'I know nothing' when asked about a possible move to Manchester United in January.
The 29-year-old Netherlands international was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford when Sir Alex Ferguson was still in charge in the summer of 2011, but he opted to stay put with Italian giants Inter Milan.
Sneijder subsequently moved to Turkish outfit Galatasaray on a three-and-a-half-year contract in January of this year, but United were linked again in the summer when David Moyes took over the managerial reins at Old Trafford.
Galatasaray sporting co-ordinator Bulunt Tulun has confirmed the Red Devils' interest while fresh reports have now suggested a renewed bid would be made to sign Sneijder in January.
However, the player, who scored the winning goal against Juventus on Wednesday to book Galatasaray's place in the last 16 of the Champions League, told NOS: "I know nothing. I know only as much as you do - just the reports in the newspapers, which seem to come out every time the transfer window is about to reopen.
"It's pretty annoying when you're playing in Turkey. The people here are very emotional and passionate about it all.
"I have no desire to have to justify myself to the people every time my name is in the media. I'm fine here and enjoying myself, and the fact that we progressed in the Champions League is great. I am happy here, but you never know for certain what will happen in football."
