Turks eye United fringe man

Ashley Young is being linked with a move to Turkish side Galatasaray as doubts surround his future at Manchester United.

The 28-year-old England international winger has been battling emerging starlet Adnan Januzaj for a place in Red Devils' boss David Moyes' first-team plans this season, while he has also come in for some criticism from the new man at the helm because of his diving antics.

Moyes warned Young to cut out the theatrics following a home win against Crystal Palace in September, before the former Aston Villa man then won a dubious penalty during last week's goalless Champions League draw at Real Sociedad.

It's being claimed that Moyes, who dropped Young for Sunday's Premier League win against Arsenal at Old Trafford, has lost patience and will look to offload him in January if the right offer is forthcoming.

That has resulted in Turkish paper Fanatik reporting that Galatasaray, who are managed by former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, will make an offer of around £8million - half of the fee United paid Villa for his signature in summer 2011.
