Unchanged eleven shock

Sir Alex Ferguson could name his first unchanged line-up in 21 months and over 100 matches when Portsmouth visit Old Trafford.

The Reds boss last kept the same starting eleven for the 4-1 league win over West Ham, 106 matches ago, which followed United's glorious Champions League semi-final win over Barcelona in April 2008.

But United's performance in their 3-1 win over Arsenal last week could convince him to keep the same team for the visit of bottom-of-the-table Pompey.

Rio Ferdinand is still banned and Nemanja Vidic is not expected to return while Gary Neville has been excluded from the squad since the first leg of the Carling Cup semi-final against Manchester City.

Dimitar Berbatov, however, may come back in if he elects to switch back to a 4-4-2 at home - while Antonio Valencia is desperate to get back into the side having seen Nani take over on the right in the last three weeks.
