Manchester United will face a summer fight with Arsenal if they are to secure the signature of Stoke City goalkeeper Asmir Begovic.
The Potters are set to cash in on Begovic in the summer following the arrival of Jack Butland from Birmingham on deadline day, and a host of top clubs are keen to sign him.
United are said to be favourites as they reportedly look to replace David De Gea, who has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford since arriving from Atletico Madrid.
The Reds are said to be lining up an £8million move but Stoke could demand almost double that for the Bosnia Herzegovina international, who is rated as one of the best keepers in the Premier League
Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could be set to challenge his United counterpart Sir Alex Ferguson for Begovic's signature as he looks to draft in a new goalkeeper in the summer to challenge and possibly replace current number one Wojciech Szczesny.
