United duo ready to go again

Man UtdMan Utd midfielder Owen Hargreaves will be available for the clash with West Brom and he may be joined by Michael Carrick.

Hargreaves has been restricted to just one start so far this season after his long-standing knee injury flared up again while Carrick has been out since the Liverpool defeat on September 13.

But Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson has delivered an encouraging injury update which is a welcome boost after Paul Scholes suffered a knee injury of his own against Aalborg which is set to sideline him until December.

"We are expecting Michael to be available next week," Ferguson told the Manchester Evening News.

"He is almost back to full training now. Owen is much better and we will pencil him in for the West Brom game without question."

United entertain the Baggies on Saturday as they bid to continue their revival after a relatively sluggish start to the Premier League campaign.
