Man Utd are close to landing Bordeaux winger Gabriel Obertan who has been linked with Arsenal, Inter and AC Milan.
The 20-year-old France Under-21 star has fallen out of favour under former Red Devils defender Laurent Blanc and was shipped out on loan last season.
And he will be on the move again this summer, according to Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud.
He told L'Equipe: "There is a very strong likelihood that the deal will go ahead.
"Manchester United want to sign him and, for our part, we would be delighted to see Gabriel playing for such a prestigious club.
"We will make the official announcement when the time is right."
United have previously landed another winger, Antonio Valencia, after selling Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid for a world-record fee.
