Manchester United will face Shakhtar Donetsk, Bayer Leverkusen and Real Sociedad in the Champions League group stages.
United have been drawn in Group A alongside Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk, Bundesliga outfit Leverkusen and Spanish side Sociedad, who secured their place in the competition with a play-off win over French outfit Lyon.
United reached the last-16 stage last season but were dumped out by Real Madrid in controversial circumstances and will be keen to reach the latter stages this term.
The coming European campaign will be David Moyes' first experience of the Champions League proper, although he did guide former club Everton into the qualifying rounds before ultimately failing to reach the group stages in 2005.
