Sir Alex Ferguson is set to reignite his interest in Bayern Munich's unsettled winger Franck Ribery in the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old is reportedly unhappy with life at the Allianz Arena and it has been suggested the Bundesliga side could be willing to accept as little as £30million for the Frenchman.

It is thought United will make at least one big move in the January transfer window, with Ribery believed to be the top target for United boss Ferguson.

Ribery was hotly tipped for a summer departure from Munich but the club's asking price of over £75million put any potential suitors off, however Bayern are believed to be ready to cash in on the French international and will accept a smaller fee.

However, United may face a battle to secure his services with Manchester City, Chelsea and Spanish sides Barcelona and Real Madrid all thought to be weighing up a move for the midfield schemer.
