United scout Benfica stars in Brussels

Manchester United will be among several Premier League clubs represented at Anderlecht's match against Benfica on Wednesday.

Belgian newspaper reports claim the Reds will send a scout to Brussels for the Champions League game, along with Chelsea, Manchester City, Porto, Zenit Saint-Petersburg, Inter and Borussia Dortmund.

United have been linked with several Benfica players this season with Serbian midfielder Nemanja Matic and Portugal Under-21 striker Ivan Cavaleiro the most likely targets.

But Anderlecht's talented 16-year-old midfielder Yoeri Tielemans and 19-year-old wide man Dennis Praet are also likely to be on show.

Neither player is expected to be allowed to leave Anderlecht in the January transfer window with Tielemans' parents insisting that he remain in Belgium for at least another full season after this.
