Manchester United scouts watched Sporting winger Bruma and FC Copenhagen striker Andreas Cornelius again at the weekend.
United were represented at Sporting's 1-0 defeat at Pacos de Ferreira on Sunday in which Bruma played the full 90 minutes.
The 18-year-old wide attacker has been doing well recently, despite his side's struggles, and has been gaining a lot of experience since being thrust into the first team in February.
Sporting do not want to lose Bruma, who is under contract until 2016, but are under financial pressure and may have to cash in on another one of their stars in the summer.
United scouts were joined by Manchester City, Liverpool and Everton at Copenhagen's goalless draw with Brondby - which turned into a title-winning party in Denmark.
The 6ft 4in striker has scored 18 goals in 28 Danish Superliga games this season while his impact on the international scene has been even greater.
The 20-year-old bagged a hat-trick on his debut for Denmark against Canada in January and has since hit two more against Mexico and the Czech Republic.
