Man Utd are tipped to complete the signing of Spurs striker Dimitar Berbatov who has reportedly asked for a transfer.Fergie is desperate to bolster his strikeforce before the end of the transfer window on August 31 with Louis Saha's injury problems a cause for concern at Old Trafford.
Berbatov is now said to have forced the issue by demanding a move away from White Hart Lane as he looks for Champions League football.
The 27-year-old cost Spurs just under £11m two years ago but he could cost upwards of £30m if the deal goes through this summer.
