Manchester United forward Joshua King is set to join Blackburn Rovers on loan, with a view to a permanent transfer in January.
Reports suggest the two clubs are close to agreeing a deal regarding the 20-year-old striker, who is set to join the Championship side on an initial loan move before the deadline passes.
King made a late cameo for the Old Trafford side in their loss at Galatasaray on Tuesday, replacing Danny Welbeck on 85 minutes, but boss Sir Alex Ferguson is prepared to sanction an exit due to the wealth of attacking talent at his disposal.
Ferguson has Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Welbeck and Javier Hernandez as options in attack, while Federico Macheda is also keen to force his way into the first-team set up.
Norway international King, who has spent time on loan with Preston North End, Borussia Monchengladbach and Hull City, is believed to be keen to secure regular football and is ready to join promotion hopefuls Rovers.
The loan window closes on Thursday and King is expected to depart Old Trafford for Ewood Park beforehand, ready to make it a permanent move in the New Year.
