Nicolas Gaitan's agent says there is no truth to the reports suggesting the Manchester United target wants to leave Benfica.
The Red Devils have been linked with the Argentina international in recent seasons and are thought to be keeping tabs on the 25-year-old's situation at the Estadio da Luz.
Arsenal and Russian outfit Anzhi Makhachkala are also thought to be interested in Gaitan, who has been a big hit in Portugal since his move from Boca Juniors three years ago.
However, Gaitan's representative Jose Iribarren has warned the Red Devils and any other interested parties they would be wasting their time making an offer for the playmaker as he plans to stay at Benfica next season.
"For now, there is no formal offer," said Iribarren.
"He wants to continue at Benfica next season. We know the rumours have been appearing in the newspapers but I cannot confirm that there is particular interest from one club.
"To repeat, Nico Gaitan is calm and happy at Benfica."
