United target set for January exit

Valencia midfielder Ever Banega is looking to leave Los Che in January and could be on his way to United, according to his agent.

The 25-year-old is reported to be seeking a move away from the Mestalla in the new year having fallen out with current coach Mirosalv Djukic.

United are known to be in the market for a new midfielder and manager David Moyes is bound to take an interest in the talented Argentinian following his agent's revelations.

Recent reports have suggested United are in line to sign Yohan Cabaye from Newcastle, but if that deal falls through then the champions may move for Banega.

The South American is also attracting interest from Arsenal, Southampton, Inter Milan and Napoli, and his representative Marcelo Simonian says he will be speaking to anyone interested in his client in the coming months before the transfer window opens again in January.

He told NapoliCalcioLive.com: "I can only tell you that we are already talking with several clubs in relation to the next window.

"In the next few days I will be travelling to present all the options to Valencia."
