Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has told Man Utd there is no chance of Paul Pogba going back to Old Trafford this month.
Red Devils boss David Moyes is desperate to sign a midfielder in the transfer window and was in Turin on Sunday night to watch former United youngster Pogba in action as the Serie A leaders beat Cagliari 4-1.
The France international has become a huge hit in Italy since leaving United in 2012, establishing himself as an ever-present in Antonio Conte's team.
Despite appearing to be settled with the Old Lady, United have been constantly linked with a move for Pogba and reports this week suggested they are willing to pay £35million for him.
However, United's efforts to re-sign Pogba appear to have been in vain as Juventus have no intention of selling him anytime soon.
"Juventus in its history has always bought many and sold few when talking about champions," said Marotta.
"From our point of view, we do not want to sell Pogba and so far we have closed the door to any possible buyer.
"Our aim is to consolidate the group, we do not want to sell him, but certain assessments must be made later."
