Utrecht have confirmed the signing of Manchester United winger Gyliano van Velzen after a successful trial period at the club.
The 19-year-old has returned to the Netherlands on a free transfer after failing to make the grade at Old Trafford.
United swooped to sign Van Velzen from Ajax's famed youth academy in 2010 in a deal which angered the Amsterdam club.
The Reds allegedly offered the Dutch under-16 international's family a house in Manchester, which appeared to swing the deal.
But, despite playing in the side that reached the FA Youth Cup semi-finals in 2012, the lanky winger failed to impress during a loan spell at Antwerp last season and was thought to be a bit too laid back to make it in England.
