Robin van Persie is the latest Manchester United player who is rated doubtful for Saturday's trip to face Norwich City.
The Red Devils' forward has pulled out of the Netherlands squad which will face Germany in an international friendly this week because of a slight thigh strain which he suffered during Saturday evening's 3-2 Premier League win at Aston Villa.
Instead of travelling to the Amsterdam Arena, van Persie will remain with United and undergo treatment on the problem with a view to getting him on the pitch at Carrow Road.
It is thought van Persie has a better chance of facing the Canaries than Wayne Rooney, who limped out of the Villa Park clash carrying an ankle knock which has resulted in him withdrawing from England's squad for the international friendly against Sweden this week.
If Rooney and van Persie miss the tea-time encounter, then Sir Alex Ferguson will reward Javier Hernandez for his second-half heroics at Villa with a start alongside Danny Welbeck against Chris Hughton's men.
