Goals for Robert Huth and Peter Crouch cancelled out Michael Kightly's effort, as Stoke saw off Wolves at the Britannia Stadium.

In what was a frantic first-half at the Britannia Stadium, Wolves found themselves ahead on 26 minutes when Kightly chipped a ball in for David Edwards who failed to get a touch on the ball, only for it to bypass Asmir Begovic.

The Potters managed to get back on level terms on the 37th minute when the ball bounced around the Wolves' area and eventually fell to Robert Huth who fired his effort home from 10 yards out.

Stoke enjoyed more of the ball in the second-half and they took the lead on 61 minutes when a free-kick was drifted into the box for Crouch to rise and head the ball back across goal and into the net.

The visitors found chances hard to come by and the home side managed to slow down the game in the dying stages to claim all three points and pile on the pressure on struggling Wolves.
