Luke Moore scored a late winner as League Cup winners Swansea earned all three points at the Liberty Stadium.

In a poor first half, where neither side really created any clear cut chances, with the main action the amount of fouls Cheick Tiote committed, which after being cautioned for dissent, he was lucky to not see red.

The away side improved after the break and both Papiss Cisse and Yoan Gouffran should have done better with chances they put well over Michel Vorm's crossbar.

Vorm was then called into action as he tipped a strike from Cabaye onto the woodwork, before then parrying a shot from Sissoko behind as Newcastle pressed for the goal that would probably win the match.

It was the home side who won it though, six minutes from time, as substitute Moore prodded home after a ball into the box caused confusion in the Magpies defence, to give the Swans a win they barely deserved on the balance of play.
